My name is Vicki Lund; I have worked as a Midwife for 16years, i am now a fulltime hyonotherapist.. Two years after qualifying as a Midwife I embarked and completed my training as a HypnoBirthing Practitioner. The amazing changes I saw in my client’s anxiety levels, confidence and empowerment were a tribute to the self-hypnosis, relaxation, breathing and visualisation techniques I taught. Throughout time I became more interested in Hypnotherapy as a way to help the clients I came in contact with. This culminated in commencing and completing a Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy.
My enthusiasm for Hypnotherapy continues to grow as I witness the changes my clients bring about for themselves. Often Hypnotherapy is misunderstood and thought of as something that is done to them, rather than a therapist listening and guiding the client to an understanding of their issue and helping them to achieve positive behaviours to resolve and often eliminate the issue, freeing them to enjoy their lives. Fears, phobias and behaviours can be debilitating, effecting everyday life and limiting life opportunities.
Hypnotherapy uses deep relaxation, just like slipping into a comfortable sleep, and as in sleep you are aware of your environment and if something bothered you, you would wake as you are always in control. Clients frequently comment on how enjoyable the experience of relaxation is and feel this benefits their health and energy in a positive way.
I will strive to provide individual, empathetic client based care, ensuring your thoughts and feelings are at the centre of the Hypnotherapy I provide. My work follows the ethical and legal guidelines of the GHR for which I am registered. If you are unsure whether Hypnotherapy is for you I am more than happy to have a chat and answer any questions you may have. My contact details and message form can be found in my contact page.
